S’mores & Stars Community Event

The Hanksville Tourism Advisory Board invites residents and visitors to attend S’mores & Stars, a free community stargazing and campfire event taking place January 16–18, 2026, in Hanksville.

Event Details

• Dates: Friday–Sunday, January 16–18, 2026

• Time: Activities begin nightly at 5:30 PM

• Location: Hanksville Town Park

• Cost: Free and open to the public

Each evening will include campfires with s’mores, guided stargazing, family-friendly activities, and vendor booths.

Opening Night Presentation

On Friday, January 16, a special opening presentation will be held featuring Jason Trump as the main speaker.

• Time: 6:30 PM

• Location: Hanksville Firehouse

Jason Trump will share a personal and accessible talk about discovering the night sky, the shared human connection to astronomy, and how stargazing can shape our perspective of the world around us.

Additional Information

Guided stargazing and activities will continue nightly throughout the weekend at the town park from 5:30 PM to approximately 9:00 PM. All ages are welcome.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to dress warmly and bring family and friends to enjoy Hanksville’s dark skies and community atmosphere.
