Sept 2026 Public Hearing 2027 FY Budget Amendment
The Hanksville Town Council convened its regular meeting on the 3rd day of Sep 2026 in conjunction with a PUBLIC HEARING in the Hanksville Community Center; meeting commenced at 6:00pm.
Present: Mayor Jeffren T. Pei, C. Mona Wells, C. Robert Gilner (virtually) and C. Shyann Alvey (virtually)
Absent: C. Peter Devonshire and Maintenance Eric Wells
Employees: Clerk Lisa Wells, Treasurer Jessica Alvey
Public in Attendance: Brennan Rees - Ensign Engineering, Susan Wells, Charity Jackson, Margaret Re, Duke Alvey, Dan Thatcher, Jaron Jackson, Colton Roberts, Shanna Sellers, Sue Fivecoat, Connie Brown, Doug Roberts, Jason Linder, Jaqei Pei, and Marina Alexander.

Clerk Lisa Wells outlined the changes to the budget as requested and discussed in past council meetings and also in the work meeting. Clerk was directed to increase spending budget for the following equipment:
Mosquito fogger $1000 Fund 10 Account 4350 Health - mosquito control
Weed sprayer $1000 Fund 10 Account 4350 Health - mosquito control
Manlift $10,000 Fund 10 Account 4410.250 Street Equipment
Pickup $15,000 Fund 51 6240 Water equipment
Tractor $45,000 Fund 51 6240 Water equipment
Trailer $10,000 Fund 51 6240 Water equipment
The mayor outlined the reasons for the equipment to the public. To maintain roads, utility, and flooding mitigation.. The town has old equipment or non-existing equipment for proper maintenance of utilities and roads. The mosquito fogger increase is for repairs to the current fogger and weed sprayer is to maintain roadside weed control.
