Welcome to Hanksville's 2026 Independence Day celebration! As we commemorate America's 250th anniversary, we invite residents, families, friends, and visitors to join us for a weekend filled with community spirit, friendly competition, and patriotic pride. From tournaments and parades to water games, OHV events, and fireworks, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Come celebrate our history, our community, and our future together in Hanksville.

Town Activities
Friday July 3rd
4:00 PM – Cornhole Tournament
Gather your friends and test your skills in this community favorite. Whether you're competing or cheering from the sidelines, it's a great way to kick off the holiday weekend.
5:00 PM – Junior Rodeo / Gymkhana
The youngest cowboys and cowgirls will take center stage first as the Junior Rodeo and Gymkhana events get underway. Sign up starts at 4:00pm
7:00 PM – Adults Gymkhana
Following the youth events, adult participants will have their turn in the arena for an evening of friendly competition and fun.
Saturday, July 4th
7:00 AM – Breakfast at the Park
Start your Independence Day with breakfast at the town park, hosted by the LDS Young Men.
10:00 AM – Parade – "Freedom Lives Here"
Join us for our annual Independence Day parade celebrating the theme "Freedom Lives Here." Parade participants should line up behind Stan's at 9:30 AM. The parade begins promptly at 10:00 AM.
12:00 PM – Lunch & Bingo at the Park
The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers invite everyone to enjoy lunch and bingo at the town park. Come enjoy great food, good company, and community fellowship.
12:00 PM - 4:00PM – Water Games
Cool off with a variety of family-friendly water games and activities at the park.
1:00 PM – Horseshoe Tournament
Bring your competitive spirit and join neighbors and friends for the annual horseshoe tournament.
7:00 PM – OHV Gymkhana
Watch riders test their skill and precision in an evening of OHV competition and entertainment.
≈10:00PM (Dark) Fireworks
End the celebration with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the Hanksville night sky.
